2000 Setup Instructions

Step 1: Click on the Start button onto Settings, then Network and Dial Up Connections and click Make New Connection.

Step 2: This will open the Network Connection Wizard. Click Next.

Step 3: Place a dot in the box marked Dial-up to Private Network Connect using my phone line a (modem or ISDN). Click Next.

Step 4: Enter the appropriate access number for your area from the list below. Make sure that Use dialing rules is unchecked. Click Next.

Step 5: Place a dot in the box For all users. Click Next.

Step 6: Type eNet in the connection name field. You may optionally select Add a shortcut to my desktop - doing so will give you a convenient and easy way of connecting to eNet. Click Finish.

Step 7: Enter the username and password you chose when you created your eNet account. Do not forget to add @ee.net to the end of your username. Please note that the system is case-sensitive.. so watch out for that caps lock key! Make sure the Save password box is checked so you do not have to enter your password each time you connect to the internet.

You may now use your new connection to connect to eNet. Press Dial. You should hear your modem dialing and see the connection being made. Your connection window will zoom across the screen to live as a small icon in the bottom right-hand side of your screen. Once the connection is made you can use a browser such as Internet Explorer to surf the Web and collect your email with software such as Outlook Express.
