Your
virtual mail server will allow you to create as many email accounts
as you wish for your domain. These account can be accessed
with a POP3 client, or may be viewed via a web browser by going
to http://mail.yourdomain.com:8181. If accessed via the web,
each user will be able to do simple tasks, such as change password,
forwarding, auto responders, etc. Each user will also be able
to read and respond to mail via the web interface.
The
administrator for the mail server will also log on in the same fasion
as a normal user, but will be given more options. The administrator will
be able to add accounts and aliases to the mail server. This
interface is very intuitive, with one exception. You have
the ability to restrict the size of a users mailbox. The number
you enter is in bytes, not Kbytes. Here are some conversions:
1024
bytes = 1 Kbyte (1K)
1024
K = 1 MB
1
MB = 1048576 bytes
NOTE:
If you setup an alias called "nobody", it will direct
mail that comes to the domain, and matches no user, to a particular
email address.
